Compact Tri-Sphere

The Compact Positioning System provides positioning flexibility in an optimised, or customisable, system that will fit easily into experimental stations. These systems are based on six degree-of-freedom mechanisms, designed for positioning samples within X-ray or neutron beamlines. Their design allows for the center of rotation to be easily defined by the user; components can be supported from below or suspended from above.

Due to their size, and the decoupling of the horizontal and vertical motions, they are ideal for positioning beam conditioning elements, as an alternative to hexapods. The precision of specific degrees-of-freedom can be refined or detuned, depending on the hardware used. Compact Positioning Systems are also available in vacuum-compatible versions.
